Here I am with all my protection from the millions of mosquitos, sun, rain.....etc.  That being said, the live music, along with the sounds of Buttermilk Waterfall, and painting with the Putney Painters, made the whole day more than magical.

I put LANDSCAPES and PEOPLE together because I always think of them in that way. When I paint people inside a room their surroundings become an interior landscape.

"Inspiration" is most exciting when an idea comes, and I see it as a painting.  All I must do is organize what is before me using the tools of my craft.  This combination of deep critical perception and how to represent it on canvas is the simple yet profound two step process I use.

To me a painting holds more integrity when the truth of what I see is joined with my human experience and inspiration. Maybe I could say my paintings are both the truth of what I see and my flash of inspiration, or honest seeing with creativity sprinkled upon it.
